A teen accused of killing his infant son back in 2021 plead guilty to murder last week and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Caleb Brown, who was 17 at the time of the murder, was found guilty of murdering his baby boy in Carrollton.
The child, Emerson Ziesmer, was born in July 2021 and on August 9, 2021 Brown and the child’s mother took the baby to a Plano hospital emergency room after noticing significant bruising to his abdomen area.
The infant was transferred to Children’s Medical Center of Dallas where he later died.
An autopsy later revealed that the infant had suffered multiple displaced ribs and a lacerated liver.
After further investigation authorities learned that Brown had been upset with the child’s mother for keeping the baby and then possibly being put on child support.
On September 28, 2021 Brown was arrested by Carrollton police and charged with murder.
