A man is in custody facing murder charges after he allegedly dismembered his pregnant sister inside a Minnesota home.
On May 23, Lakeville Police responded to a welfare check call, around 11 p.m., on the 1700 block of Encina Path.
Officers say the caller claimed she hadn’t heard from her pregnant daughter, 30 year old Bethany Israel, who went to have dinner with her 23 year old brother Jack Ball.
The woman says when she called her daughter and got no response she drove over to the residence where she found a substantial amount of blood.
Police then searched the home and found bloody tools and dismembered body parts, believed to be Israel’s. They also found personal journals where Ball expressed his anger about Israel being pregnant and no longer being innocent.
While authorities were searching for Ball they received a 911 call from a Rosemount resident who said they saw a man on their ring camera placing what appeared to be a body part on their porch.
Officers quickly responded to the call and retrieved the body part. They also located Ball in a nearby neighborhood covered in blood and suffering from what appeared to be a self inflicted wound to the throat. He was transported to a local hospital where he remains hospitalized.
Ball was charged with two counts of second degree murder. His bond is set at $2 million without conditions or $1 million with conditions.
