Former Deputy Caught With 104lbs Of Fentanyl Pills Allegedly Worked For El Chapo’s Cartel

The former Riverside County deputy arrested last year during “Operation Hotline Bling” was a part of a cartel once led by well known drug lord, Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán.

Officer Jorge Oceguera-Rocha,25, was one of 15 arrested in the Sinaloa drug cartels trafficking and distribution operation investigation aimed towards the Inland Empire.

Operation Hotline Bling began in March 2023 with several Riverside County law enforcement and the help from the United States Postal Inspection Services.
During the investigation authorities seized approximately 376 pounds of methamphetamine, 37.4 pounds of fentanyl, 600,000 fentanyl tablets, 1.4 kilograms of cocaine, and seven firearms. An estimated $16 million in street value.

The DEA and Riverside police provided evidence to Riverside County Sheriff’s that lead to Oceguera-Rocha’s arrest, in September, while he was in possession of more than 100 pounds of fentanyl pills and a gun.

Oceguera-Rocha plead not guilty to possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for sales.
