Man Sentenced To 19 Years In Prison After Admitting To Sex Trafficking Over 600 Minor Girls
A South Carolina DJ received a reduced prison sentence after pleading guilty to several sex charges with nearly 700 underage black girls.
Jason Roger Pope,46, aka DJ Kidd plead guilty last month to five counts of sex trafficking of a minor, five counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, and three counts of criminal sexual conduct.
According to the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office all of the charges against Pope stemmed from 2017-2019 and they involved 693 black girls under the age of 18. It was also stated that Pope intentionally infected one of the girls with HIV.
Even after admitting to his sexual acts with the young girls, Judge Brian Gibbons sentenced Pope to 30 years but then suspended it to only 19 years in prison.
Once Pope is released from prison he will be on sex offender probation for five years and he will have special sex offender agents monitoring him. He will also be placed on the Sex Offender Registry and prohibited from having contact with any of his victims.
