Youth Minister Gunned Down Outside Of A Church On Easter Sunday

A man is facing murder charges after he fatally shot another man during a fight at a church.

Officers responded to a shooting call on the 2500 block of 56th Street, a little before 3 p.m. Upon arriving officers found the victim, 31 year old Denzel Branch, suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was transported to an area hospital by Dallas Fire Rescue where he succumbed to his injuries.

The suspect, 30 year old Joshua Andrews- Bell later turned himself into DPD where he was arrested and charged with murder. His bond is set at $500,000.

While investigating it was determined that Bell and Branch had a physical altercation inside the church that spilled over into the parking lot. Bell then grabbed a handgun and fired multiple rounds striking Branch.

Bell then fled the scene before officers could arrive.

It was stated that Branch was a youth minister at the church.
