Woman Fatally Shot Inside Cedar Hill Residence

Cedar Hill police are investigating a shooting that left a woman deceased early Tuesday morning.

Shortly after 5:30 a.m. officers responded to a shooting call on the 800 block of Bailey Drive.

Upon arriving officers located a woman inside the residence suffering from a gunshot wound. They applied first aid to the woman’s wound until paramedics arrived and transported the woman to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

There were several other occupants inside the residence as well, they were unharmed.

Callers from the area told authorities that an unknown vehicle was seen fleeing the residence before officers arrived.

At this time no arrest have been made and this is an active investigation.
