Arlington Police Arrest Unlicensed Community Living Home Owner For Abuse, Neglect & Theft

Police in Arlington have apprehended a woman and are looking for more unlicensed community living residences. This comes after reports of supposed abuse, neglect, theft, and fraud toward clients in Tarrant County.

Authorities say that Regla “Su” Becquer was the owner of “Love and Caring for People LLC.” The homes were managed by her, as well.

For the past few months, The Behavioral Health Law Enforcement Unit of the Arlington Police Department has been reviewing the business. The business is supposed to give supervised personal support for adults.

There had been several allegations that Becquer and her staff were not providing sufficient care to the clients and stopping them from receiving medical treatment. Detectives also think that the staff attempted to cut off all contact between the clients and their relatives, using the client’s debit cards to buy items without them knowing or their approval. They are also said to have kept the belongings of dead clients, including phones and vehicles.

Becquer has been taken into custody and charged with abandoning/endangering an individual in imminent danger of bodily injury. She was placed in the Tarrant County Jail on a $750,000 bond.

Authorities in Arlington have named five properties related to Love and Caring For People LLC in Arlington, Mansfield, and Grand Prairie.

Officers are urging the public to assist them in locating more residences that may be under Becquer’s company. They would also like to talk with current or past Love and Caring for People LLC clients and their relatives.
