Two men in Georgia are facing federal charges in relation to a home explosion that occurred in 2023.

37-year-old Steven Glosser and 34-year- old Caleb Kinsey were apprehended within a month of the explosion. This happened in Richmond Hill, Georgia.

On January 13, 2023, authorities responded to an explosion at a residential structure. The explosion had occurred at 5 a.m. Police soon learned that the cause of the explosion was an improvised explosive device.

The individuals inside the residence, a woman and her child, were able to get away uninjured.

Neighbors stated that although their homes were not damaged, they could feel the impact of the explosion, shaking their homes.

Police say that the unidentified woman and child had just moved into the residence the day before.

The woman had previously been in a relationship with one of the suspects, but authorities have not said which one. Additionally, they have not provided a possible motive for the offense.

Glosser was taken into custody within the city. However, Kinsey was apprehended in Louisiana in February 2023.

Now, more than a year following the explosion, the men have been indicted on several charges.

An indictment noted that from December 2022 and January 2023, Glosser and Kinsey supposedly came up with multiple plans to hurt the victim and her daughter.

The indictment notes that the men were said to have planned to release “a large python into the victim’s home to eat the victim’s daughter.” It added that the two were going to scalp the woman prior to blowing up her residence.

What’s more, authorities say that they were going to shoot arrows into the woman’s front door and ship dog feces or dead rats to her home.

Documents read that Glosser looked online to locate the woman’s address and directions to her residence.

The men are now facing charges of stalking, using an explosive to commit a felony and conspiracy, along with other charges.

Kinsey has also been charged with providing a false statement while purchasing a firearm and possession of firearms by a felon.
