The former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and YouTuber-turned-fighter Jake Paul will go head to head in a boxing event. It will be featured on Netflix on July 20.
The match will take place inside of AT&T stadium, in Arlington, Texas, which is the home of the Dallas Cowboys.
The event comes as Netflix begins to dive into sports programming and live entertainment as they aim to be the premier at-home viewing location in the U.S.
Recently, Netflix reached a 10-year deal for exclusive rights to stream World Wrestling Entertainment’s weekly flagship program, “Raw,” beginning in January 2025. The deal is said to be an estimated $5 billion.
“I’m very much looking forward to stepping into the ring with Jake Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas,” Tyson expressed through a statement.
“He’s grown significantly as a boxer over the years. So, it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a ‘kid’ can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT,” he added.
Tyson will be 58 when the fight goes down and has been named as one of the most fierce boxers and explosive personalities in modern professional sports.
