27-year-old Jacob Daniel Hartman, a nurse at a medical facility in Riverside, California, was apprehended after he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman who was under his care.
On Wednesday, Hartman was taken into custody, and now, authorities are searching for any additional victims.
An investigation started after a woman told authorities that she had been victimized by a nurse at Kaiser Permanente Hospital as she she was being treated for multiple days in January.
Documents show that Hartman has been charged with offences related to sexual assault, including sexual battery of an unconscious person.
The hospital has noted that Hartman is no longer an employee there.
He was placed in the Robert Presley Detention Center and was later released on a $55,000 bond.
It isn’t known if Hartman has entered a plea or hired a lawyer.
