On Tuesday, a man in Pike County, Alabama, was sentenced after pleading guilty to charges in connection to the death of a woman in 2021.

Evidence revealed in court showed that on October 26, 2021, 35-year-old Dustin Byrd and Jena Jo Milani had been traveling together on Henderson Highway. Then, at some point, Byrd pulled out a gun and shot Milani in the head and face four times. After that, he got a hold of the steering wheel of the moving vehicle, pushed the victim onto the highway, and left the location. The next day, Milani’s body was discovered by authorities.
