Passenger Fatally Shot After Wreck On Dallas Highway

Authorities in Dallas are searching for the individuals responsible for a fatal shooting on I-35.

Police say that after a wreck occurred, somebody in a car that was hit shot at the other car, killing a 23-year-old passenger.

Detectives say that on Saturday at 2:30 a.m., the vehicle Elian Murrugarra was in hit another vehicle along I-35 outside Downtown Dallas.

It isn’t known if something occurred in between the wreck and the shooting that may have led to gunshots breaking out.

Investigators don’t have a description of the assailant or the car that person was in. They also don’t have knowledge of whether the shooter was also the driver of the other car or also a passenger.

Murrugarra was transported to a medical facility where he died on Monday.
