Cameron Diaz is speaking out on the state of marriages. She has stated that she is in favor of normalizing separate bedrooms for married couples.

Although she has been married to Benji Madden since 2015, the actress still has a  desire to sleep by herself, she stated on the “Lipstick on the Rim,” podcast. Not only that, but she believes that married couples living in separate houses should be normalized, as well.

“To me, I would literally have my house, you have yours. We have the family house in the middle. I will go and sleep in my room. You go sleep in your room. I’m fine,” Diaz stated.

She even said that the middle house would be used to have “relations.”

When Diaz could see that the podcast hosts, Molly Sims and Emese Gormley were a bit shocked, Diaz did change her tone a bit. She said that this is how she used to think prior to marrying Benji.

What’s more, she previously discussed that she wasn’t even aware if she liked the thought of marriage prior to the pair getting hitched.
