Frisco Pediatrician Searches For Donor As He Battles Leukemia

2.2kviews

Relatives and friends of a Frisco pediatrician are encouraging the public to assist in their hopes of finding a bone marrow transplant for him.

57-year-old Dr. Danny Kim, a pediatrician at Cook Children’s, is in dire need of a blood stem cell transplant. This comes after he was diagnosed with advanced leukemia and has received treatment for cancer.

Kim, who has been married for 29 years, has been a pediatrician in the DFW metroplex for 26 years and resides in Plano.

In order for there to be a chance of survival, a matching donor in a blood stem transplant could save Kim’s life.

To see if you are a match for Dr. Kim or anyone else in the same life or death situation, only a simple cheek swab is needed.
