A 9 year old Latin girl is deceased after a group of cars drag racing down Lake June Rd in Dallas collided into the vehicle she was riding in Friday evening.
According to police reports Dallas police responded to a major car crash on the 10700 block of Lake June Rd and when they arrived they saw a Dodge Challenger and Chevrolet Impala had collided.
Witnesses told police that the Chevy Impala was trying to make a left turn onto Lake June when the Challenger struck the Impala from behind causing it to spin out.
A 9 year old girl was ejected from the Impala, a front passenger and another small child in a car seat were all transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
The 9 year old died later that night due to her injuries and the driver of the Challenger was arrested after he was released from the hospital.
Mesquite police were able to locate the driver of the Mustang and Charger and bring them in for questioning.
