Houston Rockets’ Kevin Porter Arrested For Strangling His Girlfriend

Houston Rockets guard, Kevin Porter Jr., was arrested on Monday in New York City on charges of Assault and Strangulation.

The 23-year-old NBA player reportedly punched his girlfriend, WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick, in the face and strangled her one late night.

According to reports, Porter was upset with Gondrezick for returning late after a night out, so he locked her out of their hotel room. Gondrezick Gained access to the room with the help of hotel security and shortly after, their arguing turned physical.

In a police report that was filed with NYPD, Gondrezick said she was punched in the face multiple times and received bruising on her face. She also stated that Porter squeezed her neck, causing bruising and making it difficult for her to breathe.

After getting checked out at the emergency room, doctors confirmed that she suffered a fractured vertebra in her neck.

Porter was released on a $75,000 bail on Tuesday. He is set to be back in court on October 16.
