11 Year Old Ft. Worth Boy Dies After Being Impaled By Iron Rod On Apartment Fence

An 11 year old boy died Monday night after accidentally being impaled when he tried to jump a fence.
According to Ft. Worth police a bunch of children were at the Ladera Palms apartments playing in a locked pool area when a security guard asked them to leave.
The kids all ran from the pool area jumping a fence.
Jean Pierre Mwenge,11 was impaled by an iron rod on the fence when he lost his balance while trying to hop over.
Officers and emergency crews arrived at the apartments and transported Mwenge to Cook Children’s Medical Center where he later died.
Detectives are investigating but believe this to be a tragic accident.
