51-year-old Alejandro Morales shot a woman in Gwinett County, Georgia, after she knocked on his door. She had been requesting that he turn his music down.
Morales has been charged with reckless conduct after claims that he shot through a closed apartment door. Jalyne Evans-Jones and her husband Eric Jones had been standing behind the door when the woman was hit by a bullet.
The incident happened at the Veranda Apartments, close to the city of Lawrenceville. It isn’t known if Morales knew that he was being asked to lower the noise nor if he knew someone was standing behind the door.
Reports indicate that the bullet grazed the woman’s chest, shattered multiple bones in her hand, and then pierced her stomach. The bullet is still stuck in her spine as doctors don’t belive it is safe to remove it, her husband stated.
No other information regarding the matter has been released.
