One Barber in Los Angeles, California, is being criticized for the amount he charges for haircuts. This includes a traveling fee for house calls.
A screenshot of a text conversation between a barber and a client, @Myneuver, was uploaded to Instagram and has gone viral. In the message, the barber let’s the client know that the distance between each other was 50 miles.
“For house calls, I charge $350/hour plus a $100 travel fee. Taper fade, line up + beard trim will take about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs so it will be $1,150.”
After the screenshot of the messages were displayed, many online expressed their dismay.
“$1,150? I’d rather look homeless,” stated user @tauwris.
“The moment he says $350/hr he is getting blocked,” another user wrote.
Some others users seemingly backed the barber up.
“A list celebrities paid this with no problem,” wrote one person.
“California made it make sense for me. The traffic alone need a fee,” said someone else.
In all, the consensus seems to be that the barber is charging outrageous fees, and many wouldn’t be willing to pay it.
