Five Friends Killed In Car Crash While Preparing For Wedding

After a speeding driver struck another vehicle on Friday evening, four women and a teenage girl lost their lives.

Close to 10:15 p.m., on Interstate 35W in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a state trooper observed the spending driver. Prior to being able to pull the driver over, the driver exited and ran a red light, striking another car. The driver left the scene but was later caught by authorities. Officers believe that the driver could have been impaired.

The victims of the fatal crash have been identified as Sabiriin Ali, Sahra Gesaade, Salma Abdikadir, Sagal Hersi, and Siham Adam. They had been friends and were preparing for a Saturday wedding when then were killed.

An investigation is on-going.
