Authorities in Wichita Falls, Texas, are investigating a deadly accident that happened close to Sheppard Air Force Base.
Early Saturday morning, officers answered to a crash on the north bound lanes of Spur 325 at Airport Drive.
They then found a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu that had been going north in the north bound lanes of Spur 325. It was then hit head on by a 2019 Honda Ridgeline that was heading south bound in the north bound lanes.
25-year-old Chaquon Jeffery had been driving the Malibu and had one other person in the vehicle, as well. Jeffery died at the location. His passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries.
39-year-old Brandon Wright had been driving the Ridgeline and had no other passengers. He was pinned in the vehicle, but was later removed before being taken to a medical facility where he was listed in stable condition.
Authorities believe that alcohol played a part in the fatal crash, and an investigation is continuing.
