On Wednesday, the Fort Worth Police Department released body cam footage of two officers rescuing a baby. That baby had been abducted and then left in a car seat and was crying, in a ravine.

On Monday night, at about 7 p.m., authorities received a call about an abduction, on North Pecan Street. Authorities had learned that a man had gotten into a woman’s vehicle and drove away while her 6-month-old baby was inside.

After several hours of multiple law enforcement agencies searching for the baby, the stolen vehicle was located on Deen Street. The suspect, 25-year-old Elliott Reyes, was apprehended; however, the baby was not inside of the vehicle.

When authorities received more information from Reyes and looked throughout the area, they eventually located the baby in the car seat, in a ravine, that was close by.

The baby didn’t seem to be hurt and was given back to the parent.

Reyes has been charged with kidnapping, abandoning/endangering a child, and auto theft.
