On Wednesday, 27-year-old Jesus Alexander Perez Fuentes has been given a 12-year federal prison sentence after pleading guilty to possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl.
In March 2022, detectives found out that Fuentes would be exiting the Galleria Mall in Dallas, with over two-thousand fentanyl-laced fake oxycodone pills. They had been labeled “M/30.”
After observing him exiting the mall with his girlfriend on March 30, authorities performed a traffic stop on Highway 635.
In Fuentes’ vehicle, officials discovered a loaded firearm, 2,072 fentanyl-laced pills, and $13,000 in cash.
He admitted to authorities that the money came from drug trafficking.
