36-year-old Cesar Dehoyos, a dog owner from Bexar County, Texas, has been apprehended after he was accused of not feeding a dog that was chained to a tree. This was done right outside of his residence.
Deputies were called to the home and found that it seemed as though Dehoyos was purposely starving the dog. The animal was described as being extremely skinny, hungry, and close to death.
When authorities were able to contact and locate Dehoyos, he was at Sea World with relatives.
Deputies also found other dogs at the residence that weren’t suffering from the same conditions. However, one was bound to a big piece of metal on a small leash.
Now, all of the animals have been taken from Dehoyos’ residence.
The starving dog was transported to an animal facility for treatment, and Dehoyos has been charged with felony animal cruelty.
