This week, a 13-year-old boy was shot and killed, in Indiana, following an online dispute, the victim’s mother said.
Orie Dodson was discovered dead on Wednesday, in the city of Gary, after a passerby saw him lying face down, close to a church.
Gary police officers arrived to the scene, and Dodson was later pronounced deceased.
“They chased him from 15th and Gary to right here on 15th and Lincoln at this church. They killed my baby. I guess he walked out the back door, and he was FaceTiming them, arguing with them. I think they seen his background and what was going on, and they found him,” the child’s mother, Latrice Dodson, said.
The coroner’s office found that Orie Dodson suffered several gunshot injuries. Thus, his death was determined to be a homicide.
An investigation is on-going.
