Individuals who visit a few Chick-fil-A locations will soon be able to choose a “plant-forward” option.
The new menu choice that Chick-fil-A is offering is a “tender filet cut from a whole, real cauliflower.” On Monday, testing will begin for the product in various markets.
Chick-fil-A stated that the test markets for the cauliflower sandwich are Denver, Colorado; Charleston, South Carolina; and Greensboro-Triad, North Carolina.
The cauliflower sandwich is “marinated, breaded with a signature seasoning, pressure-cooked, and served on a toasted buttery bun with two dill pickle chips,” a press release noted.
“Guests told us that they wanted to add more vegetables to their diets, and they want a plant-forward entree that tasted uniquely Chick-fil-A,” said the director of menu and packaging.
The idea has been in planning mode for the last four years.
People residing in the before-mentioned locations can see if a certain store is offering the new item by either going to Chick-fil-A’s mobile app or contacting the restaurant.
When is this new sandwich coming to Texas.
