Teen’s Bond Placed At $1 Million After Killing Mother And Stuffing Body In Trunk Of Vehicle

Tyler Roenz’s bond has been placed at $1 million. The teen, from Humble, Texas, is said to have killed his mother and stuffed her remains in the back of a vehicle.

In October, Tyler Roenz was apprehended in Nebraska after a car pursuit and wreck. He was then sent back to Harris County for the choking and fatal beating of Michelle Roenz, 49. Her body was discovered in the truck of the vehicle he was driving when he crashed.

Prior to that, Tyler and Michelle Roenz had been reported missing by Michelle’s husband who is also Tyler’s father. He had arrived home to find blood everywhere and about five human teeth. His vehicle was also missing.

When the two had gone missing, Tyler had been out of jail on a $15,000 bond for a third-degree felony charge. This came after a high school student accused him of attempting to sexually assault her when he attacked her in February 2022.

If Tyler Roenz posts bond, he won’t be allowed to communicate with his father and will be placed under 24-hour house arrest.
