An investigation is underway after a man was shot multiple times during a possible road rage incident late Friday night.

Officers responded to a shooting call on the 1100 block of Hemphill Street around 10:45 pm. When they arrived they found a man suffering from multiple shot wounds.

The victim told officers he was driving on Magnolia Avenue between Main and Hemphill Street when he exchanged words with a driver in another vehicle.

A passenger in the suspect vehicle then pulled out a gun firing multiple shots into his car striking him in the shoulder, forearm and face. The suspects then fled the scene and the victim drove to the QuickTrip where he called police.

He was then transported to an area hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
