Infant Dies Days After Mom Allegedly Strangled Siblings to Death and Jumped Out of Second-Story Window
A mother of three has been accused of killing every one of her children by strangling them.
32-year-old Lindsay M. Clancy was arrested on two counts of murder after she strangled and killed her 5-year-old daughter, Cora Clancy, and 3-year-old son, Dawson Clancy according to Timothy Cruz, Plymouth County District Attorney.
Police arrived on the scene because Lindsay had attempted to kill herself by jumping out of an upstairs window. She was hospitalized and placed under police guard due to the charges filed against her. She was treated for injuries to her wrist and neck.
Her husband called 911, who later found the two children deceased.
Callan Clancy survived the attack and was hospitalized, and fought to live for three days. He died Friday.
“At approximately 12:30 p.m., the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner contacted Massachusetts State Police assigned to our office to report that at 11:18 a.m. [Friday], the third Clancy child was pronounced deceased at Children’s Hospital in Boston,” Plymouth District Attorney’s Office said in a statement from Fox News.
“In incidents like this, there are usually more questions than answers,” Cruz said at a news conference on Wednesday. “We aren’t here to presume motives. This is an unimaginable, senseless tragedy, and it is an ongoing investigation.”
Police found all three children unconscious with apparent signs of severe trauma, Cruz said.
