Dallas Officer And Murder Suspect Shot In Apartment Complex While Trying To Serve Arrest Warrant
An investigation is underway aFter a suspect was shot by a Dallas police officer Wednesday afternoon while trying to execute an arrest warrant.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. on the 2500 block of Bahama Drive when officers located the murder suspect sitting inside a car. The officers then pulled into the apartment complex and made their presence none.
It was said that the officers gave several commands to the driver of the vehicle and murder suspect. The driver immediately stepped out of the vehicle and was arrested.
The murder suspect did not exit the vehicle but opened fire at the officers striking one of them in the foot. Officers returned fire striking the suspect.
Both the officer and suspect were transported to an area hospital for treatment. The officer was listed in stable condition and the suspect was listed in critical condition.
