Members On Board Aircraft During Fatal Collision at Dallas Airshow Identified

The Commemorative Air Force has released the names of the 6 victims who lost their lives after two aircraft collided during an air show in Dallas.

Hundreds of people gathered to watch the Wings Over Dallas air show on Saturday which takes place every year. During the show, two vintage military aircraft, a B-17 Flying Fortress, and a Bell P-63 Kingcobra, collided. The collision caused both aircraft to crumble down to the ground where they burst into flames.

As a result of the crash, 6 men on board the aircraft died.

The members on board the B-17 were; Captain Terry Barker, an American Airlines pilot for 36 years, Major Curt Rowe, who was with the Civil Air Patrol for over 30 years, Kevin Michel, a historian and member of the flight crew, Dan Ragan, a Korean War veteran from Dallas, and Leonard Root, a retired American Airlines pilot.

The sole member on board P-63 was Craig Hutain, United Airlines pilot who was set to retire soon.
