According to reports, Antonio Brown, an NFL free agent, is accused of selling a fake Richard Mille watch.
Ryan Kane, a plaintiff from Florida, filed a lawsuit earlier this week, over two months after the transaction occurred. He says that Brown told him that the RM 011 model watch was real and was valued at $400,000. Initially, Kane believed him and bought the watch for $160,000. Later, the purchaser learned that the watch wasn’t real.
Many weeks after buying the watch, Kane said that he took it to an appraiser for insurance reasons. He then found out that the watch was worth $200. After doing his own investigation, Kane discovered that Brown had bought the counterfeit watch and several more like it for $500 each, in Dubai.
It isn’t known how the defendant found out those details, but claims recently surfaced that Brown had stolen $122,000 worth of jewelry in Dubai.
Kane is now asking for $160,000 to be returned to him, including interest.
This latest news comes just days after Brown was said to have exposed himself to guests at Armani Hotel Dubai. Brown tweeted that the NFL was using the claims and camera footage to divert attention away from concussion controversies.
