A man is dead after his 18 wheeler went off the U.S. 75 overpass in Allen, Texas Tuesday afternoon.
According to reports, the crash happened on US 75 and Stacy Rd. The driver of the 18 wheeler was driving northbound when he collided with another vehicle and went off the overpass.
As it went over it flipped and burst into flames before hitting the ground.
When emergency crews arrived the driver, who was identified as 71 year old Gustavo Rodriguez Gomez, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
The crash had the highway backed up for miles.
