A 14-year-old girl has been charged with arson one week following what authorities say was a purposely set fire inside of a Walmart.
Th fire chief in Peachtree City, Georgia, stated that the blaze occurred inside of the store, on Highway 54, close to 7 p.m., last Wednesday.
Camera footage of the incident revealed officers looking through the burning facility to see if customers had been trapped inside.
Fortunately, no customers were harmed. Three officers were sent to a medical facility for smoke inhalation but were later released.
It was several hours before the fire had finally gone out, around 4 a.m., the next morning.
The store’s roof and interior sustained major damages.
Authorities say that the teen used a cigarette lighter to start the fire.
