Hand Gun Found On Bowie High School Campus; Student Arrested

A student was arrested at Bowie High School Monday for having a gun after another student informed a staff member.

The incident happened on August 22, when Arlington PD was notified and quickly arrived at the school where they conducted a search and found a handgun on a student.

The student was taken into custody and no injuries were reported.

Bowie High School says they commend the person for notifying staff about the gun being on campus.
