Mother beats one boy badly and leaves the other son dead!

A 5 year old boy, Alexander Stephens, is dead and his brother remains hospitalized after their mother and her two friends beat them for 22 hours for stealing food. Police were called to Parkway Inn motel in Middleton, Ohio where a woman says they were camping and the children wandered off while they were sleeping and were severely beaten by a group of kids. The mother said when she found the boys she didn’t recognize the severity of their injuries.

When police arrive at the motel they found the boys wrapped in sheets still breathing but severely beaten and malnourished. The mother Theresa Hawkins, her friend Rachel Bostian and Bostian’s mother were taken in for questioning and charged with two counts of felonious assault and child endangerment. The boys were taken to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital where the 5 year old later died and the 6 year old still remains hospitalized. The mother and her friend Rachel’s charges have now been upgraded to murder plus two counts of felonious assault and child endangerment. Their bond was set at 1 million with a court appointed attorney.
