A man dies after being shot by his girlfriend after he physically assaulted her in the Cypress Station area.
Around 5:45, Odarrius Broden, 26, showed up to his girlfriend’s apartment and started an argument with her before physically assaulting her. She put him out the apartment but he forced his way back in shattering her door frame. She warned him by firing a single shot. They proceeded to argue and she fired a second shot hitting him.
When police arrived at 505 Cypress Station, they found Broden lying on the front porch of the apartment unresponsive and bleeding from his head, according to Harris County Sheriff’s Office. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are interviewing witnesses and have also reviewed surveillance footage from the apartment complex.
The girlfriend has also given investigators a statement and no arrest have been made at this time.
