Rapper Young Thug Facing New Charges Involving Machine Gun

Rapper Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, is facing new charges after another indictment, says the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, in Atlanta.

The agency says that they think that the recent charges provide evidence that Williams was a leader of a criminal street gang for several years.

Reports indicate that one of the charges is in connection to a machine gun.

“I’ll tell you the response to any allegation is Mr. Williams committed no crime whatsoever, and we will fight to my last drop of blood to clear him,” said his lawyer, Brian Steele.

In May, Williams was charged, with over 24 other people, with conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) act. He also faced a count of participation in criminal street gang activity.

Court documents note that the new indictment contains all 28 defendants from the May indictment and is still targeting YSL. This is an organization that is said to have been founded by Williams and two other people.

“YSL is an acronym for Young Slime Life. It is a hybrid gang that operates here in Atlanta. It’s an affiliate of the Bloods gang,” said DA Fanni Willis.

The new charges come from arrest made on March 17 and May 9.

The majority of the charges come from what was discovered in Williams’ residence in Buckhead one evening in May when he was apprehended.

Now, Williams has been charged with a new gang offense, new drug charges, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a machine gun.

Martinez Arnold and Deamonte Kendrick, whose stage name is Yak Gotti, are two defendants that have been named in the machin gun count, as well. All three men had pleaded not guilty when indicted back in May.
