Weatherford Family Wants Answers After Son Was Found Hanging From Tree In His Backyard
Family and friends are searching for answers after a young man was allegedly hanged in his backyard.
It is believed that Jake Brown was followed home during the early morning hours of July 17, 2022 after leaving a club in Weatherford. He then went to a friends house is Mineral Wells and headed home between 5 and 8 a.m.
Brown then had a flat tire and while changing it that’s when family believe he was beaten and then brought to his home and hung. His mother believes it was people he knew since he was found deceased in his backyard.
When Brown was found he had a water hose tied around his neck and he was hanging from a tree with no shoes and socks. There were no chairs or objects found near him to have hung himself.
At this time family and friends are asking that anyone with any information regarding this case to please contact Weatherford Police.
An autopsy has been performed and the manner and cause of death are pending as of right now.
