Woman Killed, 14 Year Old Injured At A North Dallas Apartment Complex; Suspect Found Dead Following Standoff

A man and woman are dead and a teen is in serious condition following an overnight shooting that turned into a standoff Thursday morning.

Officers responded to a shooting call at a North Dallas apartment complex, around 12:40 a.m. on the 12100 block of Audelia Road.

Upon arrival a woman and a 14 year old girl were transported to area hospitals with gunshot wounds.

The woman later died from her injuries and the teen had undergone surgery and is expected to survive.

Dallas SWAT was called out to the scene after the man barricaded himself inside the apartment. After multiple hours of negotiating SWAT broke the door and entered the apartment.

The male suspect was found dead inside the apartment shortly after 7 a.m.

Officers have not released a motive or the victims names at this time.

This investigation is ongoing.
