Police are currently searching for a 2 year old toddler that was drug away by an alligator near the shoreline of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.
The family of four were on vacation visiting from Nebraska. The incident happened a little after 9pm while the boy was playing in the water. The father said once the alligator grabbed his son he went in the water to wrestle with alligator to let his son go. He said that did not work and alligator got away. Witnesses at the scene say the alligator appeared to be between 4-7 feet long.
Police officials as well as Florida’s Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission were all at the scene and all are aiding in the search of hopefully getting this boy returned home safely. Police also say they will not give up searching for the boy until this situation has been resolved.
