Suspect Killed In Shootout With Dallas Police Officer

A Dallas police officer was shot in the leg early Friday morning while responding to a call.
According to reports the officer whose name has not been released was responding to a call near Jim Miller and Military Pkwy around 5:30am Friday morning because there were men with guns walking around outside.
When the officer arrived he saw two armed suspects and that’s when one of the suspects opened fire. The two began exchanging fire and one suspect fled the scene and the other was shot and killed by the officer.
The officer was shot in the leg by the suspect and he was taken to Baylor hospital where he was treated and released.
The other suspect was caught by other officers that were responding to the call and taken in to custody. Both weapons were recovered and taken in as part of the investigation.
