59-year-old Peter Anthony McGuire has been accused of holding a woman hostage in his residence and torturing her for many months. Now, authorities believe that there may be other victims.

McGuire was arrested on June 11 after a 22-year-old woman stated that he had kept her against her wishes. This occurred inside of his home in Chino Hills, California.

The Chino Hills Police Department released a picture of McGuire on Thursday. They think there may be other victims that he committed criminal acts against.

A little while after the victim, a roommate, had moved into the home, she wasn’t permitted to leave. “…at that point, she was subjected to multiple assaults,” stated a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s spokesperson.

On June 9, the victim was able to flee the residence and went to a park that was close by. Someone then called 911 in order for the victim to get help.

Police say that the victim disclosed that she had been held in McGuire’s home for six months. Meanwhile, he raped, tortured, and disfigured her.

The woman’s wounds that were seen were consistent with her statements.

A search warrant was conducted and evidence was found in McGuire’s residence. He was apprehended after fleeing to a residence in nearby Placentia and barricading himself for a short time period.

McGuire has been charged with 101 felonies. These include kidnapping, false imprisonment by violence, torture, forcible rape, mayhem, and assault with a deadly weapon.

Documents note that McGuire “disabled the tongue and put out an eye and slit the nose, ear, an lip of said person.”

He has pleaded not guilty and is being held in custody without bail. McGuire is set to appear again in court next month.

The victim is currently receiving medical care.
