Former Corrections Officer Vicky White Dies From Gunshot Wounds, Missing Inmate Casey White, In Custody

Former Alabama corrections officer Vicky White, and capital murder suspect Casey White have been located in Indiana. Following a police chase and a car wreck, Casey White was taken into custody, while Vicky White was transported to a hospital where she later died.

Officers from the U.S Marshall Services received a tip last night that helped locate the pair at a hotel in Indiana.

After officers discovered them, the suspects took off in a black Ford F-150 truck. Casey White was the driver and lead police on a chase while Vicky White sat in the passenger seat.

During the pursuit, the truck crashed and Casey White was taken into custody.

Vicky White shot herself during the chase and was transported to a hospital. She succumbed to her injuries and died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

The couple have been on the run since their escape on April 29 from Lauderdale County jail in Alabama.

Casey White will be brought back to Alabama for arraignment in court.
