Person Shot Outside Rapper Da Baby’s Home

A person was shot outside of rapper DaBaby’s home in Troutman, North Carolina Wednesday evening.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting at DaBaby’s property around 7:45 p.m.

Officers found a person suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound when they arrived. The person was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police confirmed Thursday that DaBaby, whose real name is Jonathan Kirk, was home at the time of the shooting.

A 911 call that was released on Thursday indicated the person who was shot may have unlawfully entered the property.
