On Friday night, close to 9:40 p.m., a father and a son were confronted and shot at a self-service carwash during a robbery in Houston.
When police arrived to the scene, they found that the father had died from his wounds. The son was still alive and was transported to a medical facility.
Authorities say the pair was approached by two men in ski masks who robbed them at gunpoint as they washed their pickup truck.
The son was pistol-whipped and then shot in the leg as he attempted to flee.
After that happened, the second gunman faced the father and fatally shot him in the bay of the carwash.
The suspects then left the scene, traveling on foot.
An investigation into the matter is continuing as authorities question witnesses and review camera footage.
