A Pennsylvania woman has been charged with the murder of two state troopers and a pedestrian that she struck and killed while impaired.
Jayana Webb,21 was driving the suv that fatally struck two state troopers and a pedestrian around 1am Monday morning. The incident took place on the southbound side of interstate 95 near Broad Street.
According to reports Webb had been pulled over prior to the crash for suspicion of drunk driving. The officers received a call regarding a man walking along the highway and Webb was released.
While responding to the call state troopers, Martin Mack,33 and Branden Sisca,29 as well as Reyes Rivera Oliveras,28 were struck by Webb’s suv.
All 3 were pronounced dead at the scene.
Webb stayed at the scene until officers arrived. She allegedly admitted to other officers at the scene to drinking earlier that night.
She has been charged with 18 crimes, including third-degree murder, homicide by vehicle, manslaughter of a law enforcement officer, involuntary manslaughter, recklessly endangering another person and driving under the influence.
Although this was Webb’s first offense the judge denied her bail due to the severity of the crime.
A preliminary hearing for Webb is scheduled for April 5,2022.
Wow, So tragic my condolences to the families. 🙏❤🙏 All this could have been prevented… If the Jail did not release her they would be still alive she should have never ever been released knowing it was a possibility of toxication… She should have been tested before releasing back to the public!!!
