On Wednesday, around noon, Montavius Wright, 26, shot and killed his boss, Doran Kelly, 48, at work, authorities say.
Wright has been charged with murder, and his bond was placed at $500,000.
The incident occurred at a business located on the 10th floor of Greenway Plaza in Houston.
The male victim who died at the scene had suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
Initially, authorities couldn’t find the suspect when they had looked all around the building. When cops learned who he was, he was discovered in his car at his high-rise apartment complex.
Detectives learned that Wright worked at a company in the building, Cedar Gate Technologies. The victim was his supervisor. They say that the victim targeted his boss and reportedly “passed by everyone else.”
A motive for the shooting is unknown at this time as the suspect wasn’t known to be a “problem employee.”
