After an 8-month-old baby died, a Missouri woman, who was operating an unlicensed day care out of her residence, has been arrested.

On Tuesday, Deborah Lundstrom, 47, was charged with involuntary manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child resulting in death. Endangering the welfare of a child resulting in substantial risks and operating a child care facility without a proper license offenses were also included.

Police say that on March 2, Lundstrom was caring for nine children under the age of 3, at her residence.

She then exited the home for 12 minutes, leaving the children by themselves.

Lundstrom had placed the 8-month-old in a car seat, and when she came back, the baby wasn’t breathing. She then dialed 911.

The unidentified infant was transported to a medical facility where he was pronounced deceased. An investigation into what caused the infant’s death is underway.

Lundstrom is in custody at the Greene County Jail.
