Marijuana Connected To A Lower Resting Heart Rate

2.6kviews

Marijuana is being linked to a lower resting heart rate, reported the American Journal of Medicine.

The connections between cannabis exposure and heart rate in middle-aged adults were analyzed by researchers in the U.S. and Switzerland.

They found that cumulative exposure to cannabis wasn’t connected with heart rate. Also, they determined that people who used marijuana about 5 times a month showed signs of a lower resting heart rate. This was in comparison to those who didn’t consume it at all.

The scientist issued a statement, detailing no connection between “cannabis and cardiovascular disease, mortality, or surrogate outcomes.”
